Privacy and data handling
KiddoClimbs privacy policy
We explain in clear language how we handle the information needed to operate KiddoClimbs for families, educators, educational centers, and other people involved in child development.
KiddoClimbs is designed to centralize relevant information about each child’s progress, connect families and institutions, and support continuous follow-up with enough context to make better decisions over time.
This policy applies to the public website, web platforms, and mobile apps published by KiddoClimbs, to the extent each service, module, or feature is enabled and available.

No advertising tracking
We do not use personal data to track users across third-party apps or websites for targeted advertising.
Clear institutional role
When an institution uploads student information, that institution must have the authorizations and legal basis required to do so.
Requests depend on data origin
If an institution manages a record, some requests may need to be handled with that institution or in coordination with it.

Who handles information at KiddoClimbs
Aetheryz SpA operates the KiddoClimbs website, platforms, and applications covered by this policy and is the entity responsible for the general operation of the service described here.
When data related to accounts, authentication, support, website operations, general service administration, or privacy-request management is handled, Aetheryz SpA does so through KiddoClimbs within the scope of this policy.
For privacy or data-handling inquiries, you may contact the privacy email published on this page.
2. Scope of this policy
What this policy covers
This policy applies to the KiddoClimbs public website, contact and support forms, authenticated web platforms, and mobile apps published for families, guardians, educators, or institutions.
Some features may exist only in specific modules, countries, institutions, or apps. If a specific function requires additional information or device permissions, that request supplements this policy for that function.
3. Data we collect
What kinds of data KiddoClimbs may process
The data we process depends on the user’s role, the institution involved, and the features actually used within KiddoClimbs.
- Adult account and contact data, such as name, email address, phone number when provided, institution name, role, and user or account identifiers.
- Communication and support content, such as messages, inquiries, forms, notices, responses, and context a user provides to solve a case.
- Operational and usage records needed for authentication, security, access prevention, service continuity, technical diagnosis, and operational improvement.
- Information that institutions or organizations upload about students and their follow-up processes, such as attendance, activities, communications, observations, reports, photographs, videos, and other academic or developmental records.
- Exact location only when an attendance or presence-validation feature is enabled for an authorized establishment and the user grants the relevant permission on their device.
- Multimedia or audio files when a product feature allows them to be captured, uploaded, or sent within the platform.
4. Purposes of processing
Why we use information
KiddoClimbs aims to process only the information necessary for each purpose and within the context of its relationship with families, institutions, and authorized users.
- Create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and provide access to KiddoClimbs.
- Centralize relevant information about each child’s progress and show it to authorized people or institutions.
- Enable communication between families, guardians, educators, institutions, and other authorized users.
- Register and display attendance, activities, reports, observations, notices, and other service-related interactions.
- Respond to inquiries, incidents, support requests, and privacy or data-related requests.
- Protect service security, prevent unauthorized access, investigate incidents, and maintain reasonable operational evidence.
- Use exact location only for enabled attendance or presence-validation features when the user grants the corresponding permission.
- Improve KiddoClimbs stability, operation, and overall service experience through operational analysis and maintenance.
5. Clarification on tracking
How we approach tracking and targeted advertising
KiddoClimbs does not use the personal data described in this policy to track users for targeted advertising across third-party apps or websites.
We also do not link data collected in our apps with third-party data for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, and we do not share such data with data brokers for those purposes.
When we use cookies, technical logs, or operational measurement tools, we use them for functionality, security, support, diagnosis, or service improvement, not for advertising tracking across third parties.
6. Children’s data and institution-uploaded information
How we handle information related to students
Educational institutions and other client organizations may upload information related to students and their follow-up processes within the platform.
That information may include attendance, communications, observations, activity reports, multimedia material, and other academic or developmental records relevant to service operation.
The institution or organization uploading that information is responsible for deciding what data is included, for what purpose, and for having the permissions, consents, or legal basis required in relation to parents, guardians, or legal representatives.
When KiddoClimbs hosts, organizes, or makes those records available within the platform to operate the service, it may act as a technology provider or processor for those records, while the institution keeps a primary role over the information it chooses to upload and manage.
In other cases, families or guardians may enter child-related information directly in order to maintain continuity in history and follow-up. In that context, KiddoClimbs processes that data to deliver the requested feature.
If the information was uploaded or is managed by an institution, some requests concerning those records may first need to be handled with that institution or jointly with it.
7. Sharing with third parties
Who we may share information with
KiddoClimbs may rely on technology providers to operate the service, always to the extent reasonably necessary to deliver the platform.
- Infrastructure, hosting, storage, backup, and equivalent technical services.
- Authentication, access control, security, and fraud- or abuse-prevention services.
- Messaging, email, notifications, support, or operational request-management tools.
- Operational analytics, monitoring, or technical diagnosis services used to maintain and improve the platform.
- Authorities or competent bodies when there is a legal obligation, valid request, or a need to protect rights, safety, or service integrity.
KiddoClimbs seeks to ensure that third parties supporting service delivery operate under confidentiality, security, and treatment obligations consistent with the purpose for which they were engaged and with the nature of the information involved.
8. Security
How we protect information
We apply reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, disclosure, or unauthorized alteration.
These measures may include access controls, permission management, environment protection, operational logs, and ongoing review and improvement practices aligned with the nature of the service.
No system is completely infallible. For that reason, although we work to reduce risks, we cannot guarantee absolute security in every scenario.
9. Data retention
How long we keep information
We keep data for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, maintain platform operations, provide support, manage our relationship with users or institutions, and comply with contractual or legal obligations.
The retention period may vary depending on the type of data, the user’s role, the relationship with an institution, the need to resolve incidents or inquiries, and the need to preserve reasonable operational evidence.
When information is no longer needed, we seek to delete, block, or anonymize it in a reasonable and secure way, depending on the technical and operational context.
10. User rights
How you can exercise your rights
Users and, where applicable, parents, guardians, or legal representatives may request access, correction, updating, deletion, and other applicable actions regarding their personal data, according to the laws that apply in each case.
To protect everyone’s privacy, we may request additional reasonable information to verify identity, ownership, or representation before answering a request.
To exercise these rights or submit a personal-data inquiry, you may contact the privacy email listed on this page. If your case also involves operational support, access issues, or day-to-day platform use, you may complement the request through the public KiddoClimbs support page.
- Request access to the data we process and general information about its use.
- Ask us to correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion when appropriate and when there is no legitimate legal or operational obligation to keep the data.
- Request review of certain decisions or restrictions on processing where applicable law allows it.
If information was uploaded or managed by an educational institution or client organization, the request may require coordination with that institution, because it defines part of the content and permissions around those records.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
How we use cookies, local storage, and equivalent technologies
On the public website we may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to remember preferences, maintain sessions, support navigation, measure how the site performs, and understand in aggregate how our pages are used.
In apps and authenticated web platforms we may use equivalent technologies for authentication, security, session persistence, user preferences, and feature enablement.
You can manage cookies or permissions through your browser or device settings. Disabling some of them may affect certain service functions.
These technologies are not used to track users for targeted advertising across third-party apps or websites.
12. Third-party links
What happens when you leave KiddoClimbs
Our website or platforms may include links to third-party services or pages. Once you leave environments controlled by KiddoClimbs, further handling of your data is governed by the policies and terms of the corresponding third party.
We recommend reviewing those third-party privacy policies before sharing personal information on their websites or applications.
13. Changes to this policy
How we communicate updates
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the product, service operation, or applicable requirements.
When a change is relevant, we will seek to reflect the new version on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of KiddoClimbs after changes are published means the user is aware of the current version of this policy.
